Our company
Equestrian Centre Chardon is a versatile family business where the third generation is now active in the company. Close to the city in the green Midden Delfland, we have created every opportunity to practice equestrian sports, from recreational to top sports level, under professional guidance. The passion for equestrian sports is the drive of our company.
The Chardon family is active in several equestrian disciplines at an international level.
Where Ysbrand and Bram show their strengths in driving, Jeannette and Lianne do so in eventing and Edith is a passionate dressage rider. Working towards and in top sport requires enormous commitment and motivation, drive and discipline. All these qualities are reflected in our family and business operations.
Driving sport
Three generations of four-in-hand driving at the highest level. Grandfather Abraham was one of the first internationally performing drivers in the Netherlands.
Ysbrand won 4 individual world titles, won the prestigious competition in Aachen 13 times and is a multiple Dutch champion.
Bram is a 3-time world champion with ponies, 3-time European champion with horses and won the World Cup final twice. Ysbrand and Bram are part of the Dutch team and achieved great success.
Eventing
Jeannette and Lianne are both successful in eventing.
Jeannette, together with her horse Vienna, won the young riders title during the National Championships and participated in the international 4 star competitions in Boekelo, Aachen and the Nations Cup in Strezgom.
Lianne won the Dutch title with Wila in the M class and later also in the junior category. She took part in the European Young Riders Championships in Italy with her horse Bon Jovi. In addition to their experienced horses, Lianne and Jeannette have some self-bred young horses in training.
Dressage
Edith's passion is training horses in dressage. With Leo she starts in the ZZ light, Nightflower, Pippa and Pearl Jam are her young horses in training. In her pony days she achieved many successes with her pony Carlo. She rode Z dressage and Z jumping and international eventing. She also started in three disciplines with her horses Tina, Luna and Kate. Due to her experience in all these branches of equestrian sports, she can train horses with a lot of variety in the training.
